Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox's parents include Dorothy Farquharson as well as Thomas Allison Lennox. Dorothy Farquharson & Thomas Allison Lennox is the full name given to her parents. Lennox took classes in piano, flute and harpsichord at the Royal Academy of Music London for three years throughout the 1970s. Lennox survived off a student's stipend working part-time in order to supplement her earnings. Lennox was not satisfied with the level of her abilities compared to the other students at the Royal Academy and began looking to find alternative routes. Lennox performed flute in the band Dragons Playground. However she left prior to the group's appearance on I.T.V.s talent competition New Faces. The singer was the primary voice for The Tourists a British pop band from 1977 to 1980. As part of this group, she was first introduced to Dave Stewart. Together they would form the Eurythmics the pop group. Lennox began work for Diva in 1992. This was her debut solo album. The album had a tremendous success both critically and commercially. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth solo album was released in October of 2014. The C.D. Lennox compiled her top blues soul tracks from her the time of her childhood. Lepidoptera features four keyboard tracks. The E.P. is a companion piece of her artwork in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art called Now I Let You go... The album is the first time she has released an independent album. Annie Lennox born December 25 1954 is an Scottish activist, politician and philanthropist. She is also a musician and singer. The Tourists had a minor popularity in the latter part of the 1970s. Lennox as well as Dave Stewart, a fellow musician, would go on to gain international recognition in the 1980s with the Eurythmics. Lennox launched her solo career with her debut album Diva in the year 1992. The album was the inspiration of many hits songs such as"Why" and "Walking through the Broken Glass. Medusa, a 1995 studio album that features cover versions of popular songs like No MoreILove Yous andA Whiter Shade of Pale. Six studio albums of her own as well as a compilation album are to her credit. |
