In America in the beginning, the performing arts accomplishments of young Maureen FitzSimons (who we know as Maureen O'Hara) would definitely be in the prodigy child category. This was a very natural quality for a woman of Irish origin, and who was surrounded in the beginning by gifted family members and parents. Maureen was born in this cosy refuge on the 17th of August 1920. She was raised by her parents as well as family members. Marguerita L. FitzSimons was a successful contralto. Her father, Charles FitzSimons, managed an enterprise in Dublin and was also the owner of the famous Irish football team "The Shamrock Rovers." Maureen FitzSimons was the second FitzSimons children. Peggy FitzSimons Florrie Charles B. Fitzsimons Margot Fitzsimons James O'Hara made up this family. Maureen enjoyed playing sports as a kid and excelled at sports. Her talent for performing was the perfect match for her passion for athletics. This was demonstrated by her receiving nearly every Feis award for drama and theatrical performing her country offered. When she turned 14, she was accepted by the Abbey Theater accepted her and allowed her to live out her dream in classical theater and singing opera.
